Die neue Folge, die fünfte, einer geplanten Neu- und Gesamteinspielung aller Konzerte Telemanns für Blasinstrumente bei cpo ist der klingende Beweis dafür. Sie zeigt Telemann wieder einmal und in deutlich hörbarem und erstaunlichem Gegensatz zu den Zeitgenossen Bach und Händel als den eigentlichen Komponisten auf der Höhe seiner Epoche, des Rokokos. ... Die neue Aufnahme ist deutlich duftiger, virtuoser geworden, hingeworfen mit leichter Hand und hellwachem, glitzerndem Esprit, ein "Rokoko-Telemann" par excellence eben. "Gieb jedem Instrument das, was es leyden kann/ So hat der Spieler Lust, du hast Vergnügen dran", war Telemanns berühmte Devise.
