Touch the sound a sound journey with Evelyn Glennie

13 editions published between 2004 and 2009 in English and held by 648 libraries worldwide Evelyn Glennie is a musician--the world's first full-time classical percussion soloist. An award winning globetrotter, she began losing her hearing as a child, and describes herself as "profoundly deaf," by which she means she perceives a very low level of sound, using her body as a "resounding chamber" through which she experiences her work. This impressionistic documentary film invites the viewer to share in her understanding of the physical relationship between sound and the human body, accompanied by striking visuals correlated to the percussive vibrations she conjures.
